Indonesia: 4 passengers killed in flight from Malaysia to Bali

Four people were killed and four others were injured in a Malaysia Airlines flight from Jakarta to Balyasu island, the Indonesian Ministry of Transport said on Friday.

The crash was the deadliest in Indonesia since a Malaysia Airline Boeing 737 was shot down in 1988 over the East China Sea, killing all 298 people on board.

It was the second crash involving an Indonesian passenger jet in just over two weeks, after a Malaysian Airlines plane crashed in March.

The Boeing 737 had just landed at the Indonesian island of Bali after a flight from Singapore, and was travelling at an altitude of about 35,000 feet (11,000 meters).

The plane went down after an electrical problem, and the last person to land safely was a Malaysian pilot.
